The Omen (1976) was a trend-setting horror film famous for its spine chilling sequences!
Thakkali Srinivasan had remade it as Jenma Natchathiram in 1991.
Here comes another adaptation loosely but largely based on The Omen!
The film starts off as a romantic thriller with the lead pair, especially the female experiencing horrific appearances of 2 ghosts -a mom and her daughter!
The screenplay then takes a turn and transforms into a political thriller with Kaali Venkat disappearing with money belonging to a politician (Vela Rammurthy) meant for elections in order to perform a major surgery on his daughter who is affected by a serious ailment.
As the attending doctor (Thalaivasal Vijay) insists that the surgery is a life saving one, Kaali Venkat stole the money but things do not go as planned!
Two couples get involved in the process of recovering the stolen money from a hidden place but more of problems crop up owing to greediness!
Thanks to the efforts of the lead pair and the surgery gets done successfully but then there is an unexpected twist at the end.
The special effects are okay. The closing portions could have been thought of better.
The film has enough of horror to keep the audience hooked up for a while!
