Actor TSK, who entered the Malayalam film industry; plays Prithviraj’s friend

Actor TSK is focusing on character roles

Actor TSK is a four-time winner of small screen comedy reality shows. Following his success on the small screen, TSK, who has been a busy comedy actor in cinema for the past few years, has recently been drawing attention for character roles. In this regard, he played a noticeable negative role for the first time in the hugely successful film ‘Lubber Pandhu’ released last year. It was received very well by the fans.

TSK has played a very important role in the recently released film ‘Baam’. After the film ‘Lubber Pandhu’, his character in this film too has been received well by the fans. In this situation, DSK shared information about his acting in the film ‘Baam’ and his upcoming films.

“I had played a negative role in the film ‘Bomb’. In the film ‘Bomb’, it was a completely different positive character. However, the character for this film was something that I had been looking for even before the film ‘Bomb’. After watching the film ‘Silanerangalil Sila Manidhargal’ directed by Vishal Venkat, I was amazed and contacted him and praised him. I also expressed my interest in acting in his next film. After that, there was no news from him for almost two years.

But suddenly one day he called me and told me about the character in the film ‘Bomb’ and said that not only were you playing it, but he had written this character with you in mind. The trust he had in me was amazing. Since he is also basically a mimicry artist like me, he did not forget to call me and give me this opportunity. Many people who saw the film praised that you have shown a good difference in your acting in both the films ‘Bomb’ and ‘Bomb’, and that you will fit into any role you are given. I was satisfied that I had saved the trust of director Vishal Venkat.

The shooting site of ‘Bomb’ is lively. There was a feeling of visiting our home during the shooting. Arjun Das’s voice is intimidating but his character is very soft. He is very pleasant to get along with. My friend Azhar and I have mimicked his voice in the show Kalakkapoodhu Yaaru. He has also spoken about it and praised Azhar. He is also growing as a unique actor who chooses to play different roles like Rasavathi, Aneethi and now Bam.

Following the response I received for my performance in the film Lubber Pandhu, I also sought the opportunity to act in Malayalam for the first time. There, I played the main role of the lead actor Prithviraj in the film ‘Vilayath Buddha’, as his friend. This film was directed by Jayan Nambiar. Although it is a Malayalam film, I have only played a Tamil-speaking character in this film.

After watching my performance on the shooting site and praising it, the Malayalam Prithviraj signed an autograph and said, “Welcome to the film industry.” Not only that, when talking to the director about me, he also praised me as ‘Ee Aal Valiya Velaikkaran’. When I was confused as to why he was saying ‘Ennada Velaikkaran’, I was happy when the director of the film told me that he was praising your acting skills and said that. This film will be released in October.

In the film starring Ameer and Arulnithi in Tamil, I will be playing a negative character with a unique character like the one I played in the film Lubber Pandhu. Selvakumar has directed this film. It will be released in January.

Apart from this, I am playing the hero of the story in two films, Dear Jeeva and He Is Pregnant. Prakash Bhaskar, who worked as an assistant director to director Arunraja Kamaraj in films including Kana, Label and Adangathe, is directing Dear Jeeva. He Is Pregnant is being made into a fantasy film. Currently, I am acting in a film in the lead role alongside Balaji Sakthivel sir. It is being made as my 25th film. In that way, my films are being released at regular intervals.

There are very few actors in Tamil cinema who play character roles, especially actors under the age of 35. There is a lot of demand for them in Tamil cinema. I am actively trying to establish such a place for myself. It is a great joy that the films and roles that are coming to me now are finding a way to strengthen that,” says DSK..
