It is truly surprising to note that the maker of Jama (2024), Pari Elavazhagan, who performed and directed it has come up with this breezy romantic tale that blends characters speaking in Tamil/Telugu/Kannada blending well with the tightly woven screenplay the narration set at Perambur, thanks to the eye catching visuals of Shelley Calist who has worked wonders with his lens!
Art Director Mahendran deserves a pat on his back for his artwork that spells authenticity.
Bharat Shankar ‘s score serves as a catalyst in carrying the proceedings forward!
Roja Selvamani has staged a powerful comeback through this flick and her dialogue delivery – a mix of Tamil and Telugu is perfect. Chetan playing her husband is excellent and he certainly deserves more of such author backed roles!
The Anglo-Indian spirit is very well maintained and the heroine ‘s household is a superb reflection of it!
Ramya Ranganathan has a class and she is very impressive.
Pari Ilavazhagan as the elder son of the family but not properly settled, job-wide, is quite natural.
Hailing from an orthodox and conservative family, he is waiting on his wings to marry the girl of his choice but he faces a lot of challenges before winning her hand!
The film makes a strong statement about the factor of adaptability not only between the lovers but also between the elders from both the families. The message has been driven home in a humorous manner and that ‘s exactly where the film’s strength lies!
