‘Love 3.O’ is a film created entirely featuring Instagram celebrities.
The film explores how love is approached across three different generations, depicting the evolving dimensions of love as time passes.
Arnika—popular on Instagram as ‘Reels Akka’—has taken on multiple roles in this project: she wrote the story, screenplay, dialogues, and lyrics, while also handling art direction, costume design, and co-production. She additionally stars as the lead actress and directed the film.
Producer Sivakumar also plays a significant role in the movie.
Alongside the lead actress Arnika, Instagram personalities known as ‘Coimbatore Maplai’ and ‘K.N. Smiley’ (Karthikeyan) feature in key roles.
Vedhai Pa. Mahesh handled the cinematography, Vaikunth Srinivasan composed the music, and Aravind managed the film editing.
Prasanna Kumar served as the executive producer.
The film is produced by Sivakumar under the banner of Monkey Minds Entertainment.
The motion poster launch and a press meet for the film were held today at Prasad Labs in Chennai. The event was attended by, among others, Director R.V., Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Film Directors’ Association. Udhayakumar, Treasurer Director Perarasu, actress Vanitha Vijayakumar, and actor Cool Suresh participated as special guests. Speaking at a press meet, the film’s lead actress and director, Arnika, said:
“First, I would like to express my gratitude to the entire film crew for their hard work and support. We have transitioned into the film industry from the world of Instagram.
We have crafted a story centered around AI—a topic that is highly relevant today. Since AI is the core element of the film, we are not screening any footage at this event; instead, we have prepared a motion poster.
In the past, we learned about the world through stories shared by our grandparents. Later, we gained information from our neighbors and friends. Subsequently, we relied on television, radio, FM, and programs like ‘Oliyum Oliyum’ (a popular music-video show). Then came YouTube, which became a vast source of learning. With the arrival of Instagram, people began to stay updated on everything happening in their immediate surroundings, the next street, and across the globe. Then came ChatGPT, which began to track our every move. The moment we started sharing our deepest emotions with ChatGPT, a love for AI began to blossom—and today, AI has become a prominent part of our lives.
In this film, the male protagonist falls in love with an AI entity. What is their relationship like? Does he marry her, or do they part ways? That is the story.
We explore how love was experienced and navigated in the 90s, how the ‘2K kids’ (those born around the year 2000) approached love, and what love might look like in the future—and how people will navigate it then. Everyone is familiar with the love between Lord Shiva and Parvati; they remain the ultimate archetype of love.
Having observed all the complexities and issues surrounding love today…” The story of the film ‘Love 3.0’ revolves around what Shiva—who has descended from Mount Kailash—proposes as a solution to the central conflict.
It is the media that connects this world. Great stars have emerged precisely because of the media; it is through them that these stars have reached the public. I only ask that you extend that same support to me and help me reach the audience. For seven years, I chased opportunities, attending perhaps a thousand auditions.
I was even told, “Go get a nose job, then come back for a photoshoot.” What if I had actually gone through with that surgery? I spent two years pursuing a single short film project—what if they had given me that opportunity two years earlier, instead of making me wait?
I would spend four hours just perfecting a few lines of dialogue for a piece of content.
What if they had offered me a chance when there was a truly good project on the table? What if, during my long search, I had been given a role in a television series, or even a supporting part in a feature film?
If things had gone differently, I wouldn’t be here today with ‘Love 3.0’—a film for which I have served as the screenwriter, lyricist, costume designer, art director, co-producer, lead actress, and director.
For all of this, I must thank them. I am grateful to those who denied me opportunities back when I was searching for them.

It is often said that if something is delayed or doesn’t go as planned, it is likely for a greater, positive reason.
Looking back at the journey—climbing many steps in search of opportunities, only to arrive here today as an actress and a director—a realization strikes me: if you need something, you must go after it yourself. No one else is going to step in to help you achieve your goals; you have to strive and fight for what you want. No one else will do the fighting for you. Standing on this stage today, after such a struggle, is in itself a victory. I am confident that the audience will extend their support. Since this is my work, there may be some shortcomings, but I will certainly improve upon them as I move forward. Thank you, everyone. The entire team has done a wonderful job. My heartfelt thanks to the distinguished guests from the film industry who have graced this event to offer their well-wishes.

I admire all the actors and actresses in the industry. Until now, I was just one among the crowd, cheering for others; today, I find myself standing on this stage.
If I am given a successful opportunity, I intend to bring many other talented individuals—who are currently waiting on the outside—into the industry.
