Akshaya Trust Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Celebration – A Significant Milestone in its Journey of Service

The 25th-anniversary celebration of the Akshaya Trust Foundation was held with great fanfare in Mudichur, near Tambaram, Chennai, under the chairmanship of veteran actress Mrs. Latha Sethupathi.
For the past 25 years, Akshaya Trust has been providing selfless service, offering shelter and essential support to over 400 destitute senior citizens through its six free old age homes operating in Chennai and one free old age home located in Arpakkam, Kanchipuram.
Furthermore, the foundation provides educational opportunities to approximately 250 economically disadvantaged students through its completely free English-medium school.
A key highlight of the event was the introduction of a solid waste management system using German technology by Akshaya Trust. It was announced that this project aims to create new employment opportunities while simultaneously protecting the environment.
Gratitude and appreciation were expressed to the donors who have consistently provided unwavering support and assistance to Akshaya Trust for the past 25 years.
The event featured various entertainment and cultural programs, including dance, music, parrot astrology, and henna application, which delighted all the attendees.
Akshaya Trust founder Mr. G. Gopalan, Mrs. Lalitha Gopalan, Project Director and actor V. Dasarathi, and other Akshaya Trust management members participated in the event, making it a grand success.
