“The Mummy Returns” film begins with a puja ceremony!!
Produced by P. J. Kishore under the banner of Pepin de Raisin Productions and directed by Jai Amar Singh, the delightful comedy family entertainer “The Mummy Returns” commenced today with a grand puja ceremony, attended by the film crew and other film personalities.
Director Vishnuvardhan and Director I. Ahmed attended the event and extended their best wishes to the film crew.
The film revolves around a son who, to save his mother recovering from a long coma, recreates the world of the 1990s, the era in which his mother lived, with the help of his friends. The hilarious events that unfold form the core of the film. Jai Amar Singh is crafting this film as a beautiful family entertainer that will make everyone laugh heartily.
Krishna, Devadarshini, Swathi, Kingsley, Lollu Sabha Maran, Bjorn, and Deepa (Vijay TV) are playing key roles in this film.
The shooting of the film is planned to be conducted in two phases in Chennai and its surrounding areas.
Regarding the film, director Jai Amar Singh said,
“I studied at a film institute in London and then worked with director I. Ahmed in Chennai on the film ‘Endrendrum Punnagai’. In today’s era, where action films are prevalent, audiences yearn for comedy films. I also prefer comedy films. That’s why I have designed this film to be a complete entertainer that will make the audience laugh. The film is about what a son does to save his mother; we are going to tell this emotional story in a way that will make people laugh heartily,” he said.
Leading music composer Sam C.S. is composing the music for this film. Manikandan Balaji is the editor, and Karthik Subramanian is the cinematographer. The film crew has announced that details regarding the other cast members and technical crew will be officially released soon.
