Love during College Days is something of a usual phenomenon that takes a natural course in the lives of the young hearts concerned!
But the catch here is, if the boy & girl in question belong to contrasting castes and especially when the boy hails from a lowly caste and the girl comes off a family that has a social standing, then there is an issue that tops up causing havoc to both the sides!
Divya (Keathi) is the only daughter of a man (Ananth Ram) who holds employment with the Hindu Religious Board.
Shiva (RJP) who lives with his grandfather (Pounraj) whose family profession is playing on a traditional musical instrument.
Shiva and Divya are colleagues and following the formal frictional situations, they fall in love on expected lines.
All hell breaks loose when Divya’s caste- conscious family learns about their daughter ‘s involvement with Shiva and they hurriedly arrange for her wedding with a suitor to her hand!
But then, fate has something else in store for them all! Divya’s parents and Shiva’s grandfather are in for a rude shock! The lovers take a different path to re-unite though not in life!
A heart moving climax!
RJP who has assumed responsibility for the script and direction besides bankrolling and playing the lead role, has done reasonable justice to all the portfolios!
Keathi looks good and has also come up with a good performance.
Such small but significant ventures should definitely get the patronage of the audience…
