Filming for “Tat Tvam Asi” (2026) Commences on a High Note!!

Filming for “Tat Tvam Asi” (2026)—a grand cinematic production blending spirituality, devotion, and action—officially began yesterday (May 26). Produced by Tantra Films, this movie has generated immense anticipation among fans ever since its initial announcement.

While pre-production work for the film commenced on February 26th, all planning and logistics were completed within exactly three months, paving the way for the start of filming today. Within the film industry, such meticulous planning is viewed as a testament to the film crew’s dedication and commitment.

During the film’s launch ceremony, Director Venkat Prabhu sounded the clapboard, while Director Ponram switched on the camera to officially kickstart the shoot and offer his best wishes to the crew. Conducted amidst a spiritual atmosphere, this inaugural ceremony served as a propitious beginning for the entire team.

Vishnu Sasi Shankar—the director behind the highly acclaimed Malayalam blockbuster “Malikappuram”—is helming this project. His proven expertise in emotionally and visually bringing spiritual narratives to life is expected to serve as a major strength for “Tat Tvam Asi.”

Vaibhav and Meenakshi Govindarajan star in the lead roles in this film. They are joined by a talented ensemble cast—including Aravind Akash and Aadukalam Naren—who play pivotal supporting characters.

Centered around themes of devotion, faith, and spiritual sentiment, the film is being crafted to incorporate entertaining elements that blend action with emotional depth. The screenplay is reportedly designed to appeal simultaneously to both family audiences and the youth demographic.

The film is being produced by JK Saravana and JK Satish. Premgi Amaren is composing the music, while Yuvan Selva handles the cinematography and Praveen KL takes charge of the editing. Surya Rajeevan serves as the Art Director, while Sakthi Saravanan choreographs the action sequences.

Aditya Thangirala, Nandakumar Tamilselvan, and Prithvi Aditya have joined the team as writers.

Furthermore, it is noteworthy that “Arya Kerala Varman”—another significant film announced by Tantra Films—is also being produced against a backdrop of history and spirituality.

Reports suggest that the film crew plans to release “Tat Tvam Asi” this year, coinciding with the Ayyappa Mandala season. Blending spiritual sensibilities with mass-appeal elements, this film is expected to receive a tremendous reception from audiences.
