Soundarya Rajinikanth Distributes Social Welfare Aid in Nagercoil
A ceremony to distribute welfare aid to persons with disabilities and women was held on May 15th at the Anantha Marriage Hall in Nagercoil. Renowned director and producer Soundarya Rajinikanth presided over this event, which was conducted under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Apex Laboratories.
The event was jointly organized by Nagercoil Round Table 176 and Nagercoil Ladies Circle 196. Producer Magesh Raj Pasilian attended the function as the special guest.
Welfare Aid Distributed:
- Artificial Limbs: 27 artificial limbs, manufactured by ‘Sree Balaji Orthotics,’ were distributed free of cost to persons with disabilities.
- Electric Auto-rickshaws: With the aim of enhancing women’s livelihoods, 5 electric auto-rickshaws (E-Autos) were distributed to women beneficiaries.
Objective of the Initiative:
Implemented at an estimated cost of approximately ₹30 lakhs, this initiative was conducted with the primary objectives of promoting social welfare and fostering the economic empowerment of women. During the ceremony, Soundarya Rajinikanth personally handed over the welfare aid to the beneficiaries and extended her best wishes to them.
