Widow remarriage is the crux of the plot of this rural drama based on real life characters, presented on the reels by the seasoned filmmaker, Sasi whose partnership with Vijay Anthony had churned out Pichaikkaran that was acclaimed both critically and commercially.
Swasthika has donned a crucial role of a widow with two sons and has put her heart and soul into her character.
Ajay Dhishan and Sakthi play her sons who initially oppose their Mom’s thought of remarrying while they change their stands and go all out to get her married to a suitable man (Vijay Anthony).
It is difficult to accept Balaji Sakthivel as a scheming man who has an eye on Swasthika.
The screenplay could have been woven a lot more tightly and Vijay Anthony could have been offered more screen time!
But yet, the director has tried to champion a good cause for the sake of women!
