Chennai, October 29, 2026: Table Space, India’s largest* operator among the benchmarked operators by Leased Area and a provider of premium managed workspace solutions, has nearly tripled the area leased to clients in Chennai, from 0.20 million sq. ft. as of March 31, 2024, to 0.62 million sq. ft. as of March 31, 2026, an addition of 0.42 million sq. ft. that is more than double the area at the start. In practical terms, the company is noticing that clients are now leasing nearly three times as much space in Chennai as they did two years ago, making Chennai one of its notably larger businesses.
The company has now launched approximately 72,000 sq. ft. of Ready-to-Move-In Suites at DLF Cyber City, Chennai, with capacity for over 1,250 seats. The Suites complement its existing Custom-Built Offices at the property, taking its combined presence there to approximately 130,000 sq. ft. across two floors.
According to CBRE’s Industry Report on Flexible Workspaces Segment in India, Chennai accounted for approximately 12% of GCC office leasing across the Tier-1 cities analysed during CY2022-Q1 CY2026. The report also notes that GCCs have shown increased traction in cities including Chennai, with proximity to talent pools and access to high-quality office space among the factors. Table Space’s Chennai portfolio spans approximately 0.83 million sq. ft. of Leasable Area as of March 31, 2026. Together with Bengaluru and Hyderabad, Table Space has approximately 6.22 million sq. ft. of Leasable Area across South India as of the same date.
Nitish Bhasin, Chief Sales Officer, Table Space, said: “Chennai is one of the important markets for us, where we believe our presence has grown noticeably. The city has emerged as one of the key office markets for us in South India, supported by a growing supply of Grade A office buildings. Many of the global enterprises and GCCs we work with in the city have different workplace requirements, and our Managed Office model, delivered through both Custom-Built Offices and Ready-to-Move-In Suites, is intended to meet those different client needs. With both offerings now available at DLF Cyber City, we believe the property is equipped to cater to that range of needs.”
Table Space works with a diverse portfolio of US-based enterprises in Chennai, including Staples India and Ashley. Both of them have set up their first GCCs in India in Chennai and chose Table Space as their workspace partner. Staples has taken approximately 35,000 sq. ft., while Ashley has taken approximately 60,000 sq. ft. Together, these engagements are indicative of the strength of these relationships and the company’s ability to support enterprises as their workplace requirements evolve.
Ravindran C, Senior Director – Strategy & Operations, Ashley Global Capability Center, said: “A workplace can shape how people feel about the work they do. Ours has become a place where our teams collaborate, celebrate festivals together and build something they’re proud of, and Table Space has been part of making that possible.”
Ravi Nilwaya, Managing Director and Head, Staples India, said: “As Staples continues to scale, Table Space has proven to be one of the ideal partners – offering flexible, high-performing workspace solutions needed for our innovation hub.”
The Suites at DLF Cyber City are located on Mount Poonamallee Road in Manapakkam, within one of Chennai’s established commercial office clusters. The Suites on the third floor complement Table Space’s existing Custom-Built Offices on the second floor, offering enterprises a choice between ready-to-occupy workplaces and customised office solutions. Both formats are part of Table Space’s integrated Managed Office model, bringing together leasing, design, build and operations through a single trusted workspace partner. Beyond workplace infrastructure, the model encompasses technology, security, compliance, hospitality and everyday workplace experience, enabling enterprises to manage their workplace requirements through a single trusted workspace partner while remaining focused on their core business.
Vaibhav Joshi, Principal Director, Sales, Table Space, said: “We believe Chennai’s talent ecosystem and commercial infrastructure make it an important destination for global enterprises and GCCs. Our experience working with these organisations helps us understand their workplace requirements better, whether they are establishing their first office or expanding an existing operation. The addition of Suites at DLF Cyber City ought to strengthen the range of solutions we can offer enterprises in this market.”
