In 2020, producer Mr. Salim Ali Khan signed me to compose music for his upcoming Tamil film titled “Thamizha Pyayan Hindi Ponnu”. After that, Mr. Salim Ali Khan, who had not been in touch for so many years, suddenly told me verbally that he had completed the entire film and asked me to compose music. However, I explained to him that there would be a delay as the work on the films he had signed earlier was in progress. Mr. Salim Ali Khan, who said that he was waiting, had filed a complaint against me at the Coimbatore police station. My explanations were given with evidence, and Mr. Salim Ali Khan, who felt that what he wanted would not happen at the police station anymore, approached the Producers’ Council again and filed a complaint. There, a discussion was held in the presence of Mr. Kathiresan (Secretary) and in the presence of the Musicians’ Council executives.
After hearing the arguments of both sides, keeping in mind the producer’s situation and following the advice of the executives, I decided to return the money I had paid, regardless of the fact that I had already composed music for some songs related to the above film. Mr. Salim Ali Khan said that he would think about it and leave. In this situation, I am obliged to provide this explanation after learning that today there has been news in various media outlets that Mr. Sameer Ali Khan has filed a fraud complaint against music composer Sam C.S. at the Koyambedu Police Station.
Based on the news published by the media, it is clear that the above Sameer Ali Khan, either on his own or at the instigation of some others, is spreading false and defamatory news about me, out of malice and with the evil intention of extorting money from me through the wrong means.
I can feel that he may have filed the above complaint at the police station with the evil intention of spreading defamation about me through the media.
I hereby inform you that I have not received any summons from the concerned police station regarding the complaint allegedly filed against me by the above-mentioned Sameer Ali Khan and that upon receipt of such summons, I will fully understand what has been said about me in the complaint and will give my explanation to the police and the media at the necessary time. At the same time, I hereby inform you that appropriate legal action will be taken not only against the above-mentioned Sameer Ali Khan but also against all those who have directly and indirectly helped him and tried to tarnish my reputation through defamatory news.
