This multilingual film, a silent movie, reminds us of the 1987 film, Singeetham Srinivasa Rao ‘s Pesum Padam alias Pushpaka Vimana which had Kamal & Amala in the lead roles which was eventually a silent movie! Silent Movie (1976) was also a Hollywood movie featuring Mel Brooks which was a comedy !
Arvind Samy plays a rich man whose fortunes as a businessman are ruined by the misfortunes that occur in his business empire and family that results not only in money losses but also the losses of his kith and kin!
Vijay Sethupathi who lives with his sick mother is on the look out for a job which proves a far fetched dream for him!
Aditi is a neighbour who holds the torch for him. Gandhi Talks the title stands to refer to the power of the rupee note carrying a picture of Gandhi further deliberating on how money plays a pivotal role in all spheres of life, the Court included!
At one point, Arvind Swami plans to stage his own death while Vijay Sethupathi plans to rob him for materialistic reasons!
How things get wrapped up is the interesting rest.
Aravind Swamy steals a march over Vijay Sethupathi who is good enough.
Many of the scenes are brilliant while the others are breathtaking!
The climax showcases class and calibre.
