The technical team includes cinematographer Vinoth Janakiraman, editor A. Sreekar Prasad, music composer Nandan Kalaivanan, sound designer Anand Krishnamoorthy, and Singh Sound recorder Amrit Shankar.
Director Semmalar Annam said,
“This NETPAC nomination is a very meaningful recognition for our entire team. We made Mayila with deep care and integrity. It is very encouraging that the film is being noticed at a festival like IFFR,” he said.
Newton Cinema founder Anto Chittilappally said,
“From the world premiere in Rotterdam to this award, the journey of Myla has been very gratifying. It is a proud moment for us and everyone who worked on the film,” he said.
P. Ranjith, who presented the film, said,
“Mylaa is a film with social roots and emotional honesty. It is important for such voices to reach international platforms. This nomination is absolutely deserving,” he said.
In a joint statement, the artists and technical committee said,
