“Thaazh Thiravaa” Teaser Grabs the Spotlight at Cannes Film Festival!!
The first look posters for the upcoming film Thaazh Thiravaa—crafted around a storyline blending horror and mystery—have been released, successfully capturing the attention of fans.
At the Cannes Film Festival, an event celebrated globally by cinema enthusiasts, the teaser for Thaazh Thiravaa was screened and received an overwhelming response. Produced by Barman Pictures and directed by Bharani Sekaran, the film stars Aadhav Kannadasan and Vani Bhojan; it stands out as a horror thriller set against a unique and distinct backdrop.
The film’s teaser was screened on May 19th at the Indian Pavilion within the Cannes Film Festival, earning accolades from the audience. The screening and warm reception of a Tamil film’s teaser at Cannes—a festival commanding the highest global prestige and attention—is viewed as a pivotal moment that brings immense pride to Tamil cinema as a whole.
The film’s central narrative revolves around ancient inscriptions discovered in a village and the mysterious dangers lurking in their background. Thaazh Thiravaa represents a rare cinematic endeavor in the Tamil industry, centering its plot on archaeological excavation while seamlessly weaving in elements of horror and the supernatural.
Today, the film’s first look posters have been officially released for Tamil audiences.
The horror-filled visuals depicted in both of the released posters have successfully piqued the curiosity and interest of fans. The first poster features a scene set in a dimly lit room, where mysterious hands extending from a wall attempt to drag Vani Bhojan away, while Aadav Kannadasan rushes in anxiously to save her.
The second poster depicts an ancient mansion, an atmosphere steeped in mystery, children looking on in shock at supernatural occurrences, and scenes involving an attempt to open a secret door. The expressions of the characters—standing with a mix of fear and anxiety—suggest that this film is poised to deliver a unique horror experience.
In addition to Aadav Kannadasan and Vani Bhojan, who star as the lead protagonists, the film features Suresh Menon, Subbu Panchu, and Shyam Prasad in pivotal supporting roles. Furthermore, child stars Lisha and Lalith play key characters in the movie.
With filming now complete, the final stages of post-production work are currently underway at a brisk pace. Having already garnered international attention, the film’s teaser and music album are scheduled for an official release very soon.
