The President and office bearers of the Tamil Film Producers Council have issued a statement. In it, they express that the decision by the Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu—who graciously considered the requests submitted on behalf of the Tamil Film Producers Council and demonstrated a keen understanding of the current landscape of Tamil cinema—has brought immense joy to the film fraternity. The Chief Minister has granted permission for newly released Tamil films to be screened for five shows daily during their first seven days in theaters, and additionally, during local festival periods and public holidays. This announcement has served as a great source of inspiration for producers to create quality films. On behalf of the Tamil Film Producers Council, we convey our heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Mr. S. Joseph Vijay, for issuing this announcement, and to the Honorable Minister for Information, Mr. Rajmohan, for his instrumental support in facilitating its release.
