Release of the film ‘Aatti’ Rescheduled to June 12th
Produced by Isakki Karvannan under the banner of Lakshmi Creations, the film Aatti is ready for release. In this film, producer Isakki Karvannan himself plays the lead role, portraying a police officer. Ayali fame Abi Nakshatra stars as the female lead, while Kadhal Sukumar, Soundar, Praveen Palanisamy, and several other prominent actors feature in the cast.
The film is centered on the core concept that, within our lineage, women hold the foremost position. It explores instances in ancient Tamil history where women fought for and secured their rights; it depicts how they overcame various obstacles and challenges along the way, and addresses the instances of sexual harassment they faced—as well as the manner in which they confronted and handled such situations.
Although originally scheduled for release on June 5th, the film’s theatrical debut has been rescheduled to June 12th due to unavoidable circumstances.
Currently, films such as Karuppu (starring Surya) and BLAST (starring Arjun) are receiving an excellent reception and are running successfully in a large number of theaters.
However, given that Aatti has shaped up to be an exceptional film, Isakki Karvannan—the film’s producer and lead actor—remains steadfast in his resolve to ensure that the movie is released in a minimum of one hundred theaters.
Consequently, after consulting with Suresh Kamatchi—the founder of ‘V House’ Productions, which holds the film’s distribution rights—Suresh Kamatchi proceeded to hold discussions with various distributors. Based on their collective agreement that releasing Aatti in a significant number of theaters, with adequate lead time, would be a fitting tribute to this creative work, the decision was made to release the film on June 12th.
