Jeeva and Lark Studios Join Forces – ‘Thagappan’ Off to a Grand Start with a Puja Ceremony!
Lark Studios, the production house acclaimed by fans for delivering quality hits like Garudan and Maaman, has officially commenced the shoot for its next mega-project, Thagappan, starring leading actor Jeeva. The project kicked off today with a traditional puja ceremony.
Film personalities joined the cast and crew at the grand puja ceremony held in Madurai to extend their best wishes to the team.
National Award-winning actress Rajisha Vijayan stars as the female lead alongside Jeeva. This fresh pairing has generated significant anticipation among fans.
Following the success of the recently released TTT, Jeeva returns to a story rooted in the authentic culture of Madurai and centered on powerful emotions. Ra. Venkat, the director of the critically acclaimed film Kida, is handling the story, screenplay, and direction for this project.
Set against the backdrop of Madurai and its surrounding regions, Thagappan is an emotional film that explores the deep bond between a father and son, the strength of family ties, and the nuances of human emotions. The screenplay has been crafted to appeal to a wide audience, ranging from families to the youth.
Produced by K. Kumar, the film features cinematography by M. Sukumar and editing by Naguran Ramachandran. The technical crew includes K.B. Nandabalan (Art Direction), Mahesh Mathew (Stunt Choreography), and M. Selvaraj and Rithesh Selvaraj (Costume Design). T. Udhay Kumar is handling the sound design, while Anbu is the stills photographer. R. Balakumar serves as the executive producer, Prithiviraja Chinnasamy as the head of distribution, Yuvaraj as the PRO, and Dinesh Ashok as the publicity designer. Think Music has acquired the audio rights for the film.
With the official launch ceremony (pooja) held today, filming is set to take place in a single schedule across Madurai and its surrounding areas.
