The office bearers and executive committee members of the South Indian Film Writers’ Association—including President Director Cheran, General Secretary Pattukottai Prabhakar, and Treasurer R. Sundarrajan—called upon the distinguished gentleman and titan of Tamil cinema, Superstar Mr. Rajinikanth, to pay our respects and receive his blessings. We discussed the current situation of screenwriters and sought his counsel on how to engage with all stakeholders to resolve issues amicably and ensure mutual benefit. Given his own experience as a screenwriter—having worked on films such as Valli and Baba—he readily accepted our invitation to join the Writers’ Association as a member.
We thanked this esteemed gentleman for sparing his time to converse with us and took our leave.
