The banner which had cast Sathish in the lead in Nai Sakhar has come up with yet another project, this time, a horror thriller penned and helmed by a first time filmmaker, Selvin Raj Xavier whose premise is based on paranormal activities which back dates to the British era!
He has blended humour in the right degree as a result of which the film is enjoyable most of the screen time that appears a tad too long!
Sathish fills the bill well in the role of Kanniappan a passionate gamer who is on the lookout for a job in that arena so that his profession will meet his passion and vice-versa!
A freak move on a waterless day when he attempts to draw water from a well that has not been in use for long, initiates a Dream Catcher, a hanging which can be instigated to spell doom if one of the feathers hanging around gets ripped off!
On expected lines, Kanniappan accidentally rips off a feather and from then, whenever he goes to sleep, he gets transported to a huge mansion inhabited by ghosts from the past.
He inadvertently makes a psychiatrist and a goon join him in that ordeal of transportation while sleeping but al hell breaks loose when his mom (Saranya Ponvannan), dad (VTV Ganesh) and uncle (Namo Narayanan) get engulfed in that vicious circle.
An Exorcist (Nasser) and a researcher (Regina Cassandra, her make up and costume leave much to be desired!) join Kanniappan in his attempt to come out of the spell!
The film is funny most of the time and stands out as a good time pass!
Yuvan’s background score is mention worthy.
This flick has no connectivity to The Conjuring series of films excepting for the title tag!
