The film projects of Bejoy Nambiar have always showcased a tendency to go into the depth of detailing as far as the creation of characters regardless of the purpose they serve ultimately and here too, the screenplay has been mounted on a similar terrain with the characters going overboard, time and again!Possibly, Arjun Das is getting type cast as a rugged youth exhibiting a deep throated voice but here manages to make a mark! The award winning seasoned performer that he is, it is a cake walk for Kalidas Jayaram but there is less scope here for him to parade his talents!Further, the main reason behind the former friends to cross swords is not all that convincing! The battle (as indicated by the title, Por) should have been consolidated with a little more of substance.Drug traffic at hostels is not uncommon but showcasing it with the support of lady students too is a bit too much not withstanding the fact that is not unreal! The action sequences have been canned artistically.
