All the songs in the music of composer Jerson are repetitive genres. Especially the song “Vettudaiyar Kaali..” and the way it was filmed will create a great resonance in the theater. The lyrics of Gurumoorthy and Kumari Vijayan are designed to describe the feelings of the characters.

Cinematographers Jayakumar and JK have depicted the lives of the people of the southern district in a natural and grand manner. Even though there are scenes that are blood-spattered, the way they have depicted it emotionally and the festival scenes have raised the quality of the film many times over.

The editing by Vignesh Varnam and Vinayagam keeps the film moving without any hesitation and conveys the ideas the director is trying to convey to the audience without distorting them.

The work of art director Thilakarajan Ambed and choreographer Variety Bala has added strength to the story.

Veeramurugan, who has written and directed, has given a very emotional film based on the main issue happening in the society at the moment. In particular, he has recorded the increasing plight of the drug culture in Tamil Nadu and the cries of the women affected by it, and has also recorded the harsh punishment that should be given to the criminals.

Although there are many caste symbols in some places, director Veeramurugan, who keeps everything logical in the screenplay, has deeply recorded how important spirituality is for humans in the language of the screen.

Although the scenes of those involved in crimes against women being weeded are very bloody, when seen from the position of the victims, those scenes are perfect.

Even though it is a film for society, director Veeramurugan has directed it in a commercial and at the same time civilized manner. ‘Kalan’ is not just an entertaining film but also a lesson for everyone, and will make people travel on the right path.
