Set in the backdrop of a village across the interiors of Kodaikanal, the film which starts off on a historical note soon turns into an emotional drama with the people of that neighborhood struggling hard even to access their basic needs while the politicians make an appearance there only prior to the elections, needless to mention about their act of disappearance, soon after!
The lead pair are expecting a baby. Earlier, on a particular occasion, the protagonist had earned the wrath of the local police as well as the local politician as he had manhandled them in a fit of anger!
When the lady protagonist faces hurdles during delivery and has to be transported to a hospital, the male protagonist gets caught in the web thrown in by the police who plan to kill him.
The climax is truly stunning but a poetic justice could have been delivered which would have been more of a satisfactory end!
The film takes a dig at the attitudes of the powers that be while sketching the plight and predicament of the hapless and helpless people living there in such remote areas! It is some food for thought!
The film stays out in the minds of the viewers even long after leaving the theatres!
