Arun Vijay who is used to handling dual roles in his previous outings has depicted a double role here again and the effortless ease with which he has gone about enacting both the characters is commendable.
While one is a hired assassin operating at Goa, the other is an unsuccessful youth in the company of a girl with whom he has remained acquainted since his childhood.
Between the both of them, Andre (Siddhi Idnani) is money minded but her boyfriend, Kaali (Arun Vijay) is down to earth but not as greedy as her!
The arrival of Upendra Malpe (Arun Vijay, again) at Pondy where Kaali and Andere live!
Upendra has a hidden agenda in coming to Pondy while Kaali deems it differently!
They switch places but neither of them realize they both are in for, not for a surprise but for a rude shock!
While Upendra gets killed in a deadly duel between the duo, Kaali goes ahead and impersonates Upendra after getting to know of the intention behind Upendra’s arrival at Pondy.
The back story goes like this –
Upendra is out on parole after having killed the son of a don based out at Goa while the dead man ‘s wife (Tanya Ravichandran) is out for revenge!
Kaali kills all the baddies after a long drawn battle with them!
The lackluste screenplay is salvaged by Arun Vijay’s presence and portrayal(s)!
Siddhi Idnani’s characterization looks half baked but she still manages to create a flutter.
John Vijay is impressive to the least in an oft repeated character of a two timing cop.
Sam C. S.’s music is a salvage factor.
Tanya Ravichandran suffers from a want of scope.
Tijo Tomy has canned the locales effectively, especially at Malaka which is a little away from Malaysia.
